About Nicole Dupree
Nicole J. Dupree is a lifelong resident of Northern New Jersey, USA. She began her career in fashion & entertainment as a plus model in 2009 where she has found success in both runway and print with features in It’s My Hair Magazine, Full Blossom Magazine, Curvysta Magazine, Impact Magazine and Essence.com. In June 2012, Nicole decided to expand her skill set by becoming a Certified Image Consultant from New York City’s famed Fashion Institute of Technology, (F.I.T.). While there, Ms. Dupree studied under world renowned stylists and was even granted the opportunity to work back stage during Mercedes Benz Fashion week at Lincoln Center for two seasons.
In October 2012, during the days immediately after Super-Storm Sandy hit the Atlantic Coast Region, Nicole decided to put her time away from work to good use. It is during this time that she had the idea to develop a makeup line, 127|East, a premium lip wear line that focuses on vibrant colors, vitamin enriched formulas and long wear pigments. Once the wheels began moving, they could not be stopped. On January 15, 2013 www.127East.com went live and the first of many lipstick tubes were sold. As a natural progression, Soles by 127|East, a line of Italian fine leather shoes and accessories for the entire family was birthed in October 2020.
In 2018, Nicole became 1/3 of the EVNTMKRS, and event planning team of Jersey City natives, that produced a number of themed brunches and day parties geared toward young urban professionals throughout Jersey City, NJ.
